When the Apple released its MacBook Air, the tech world was stunned. Here was a laptop with a more-than-decent processor and wireless connectivity all in a package that could fit in a manila envelope.
Everybody wanted one, of course, not everybody can have one. This is primarily because of its prohibitive price tag, a price that only the most ardent of Mac loyalists are willing to pay. There are other ultraportable systems available from the likes of Sony and Lenovo but in terms of style, the MacBook Air trumps them all.
Thankfully, MSI is around. Msi has now released pictures and specs of its soon to be released ultra-thin netbook, the X320. The X320 is a 13-inch thick netbook with a whole host of connectivity options as well as more ports (3 USB ports!) than even the MacBook Air. It weighs in at less than 3 pounds, and has minimalist styling. Available in champagne, black, and white, the X320 also has a backlit MSI logo on the lid, kinda like, you know, the MacBook Air.
Of course, in terms of processing power, the MacBook Air wins over the X320. The X320 though is expected to retail at about US $ 700-900, about half of what the Air retails for, and that’s what makes the X320 a winner.
